Glendalough is one of the number one visited places in Ireland, home to a stunning ruined Monastic City established over 1000 years ago.

Today it is still a popular place to retreat from the busy world. Families , dog walkers, meditation practitioners, Pagans and Christians among many more are drawn here, again and again to soothe their souls!

Come and explore this ancient sacred site with me and discover the hidden Goddess magic that still remains!

We absolutely loved this experience with Lorraine! One of our favorite things we did while visiting Ireland. She is very kind and a wonderful storyteller, she had a way of sharing the magic of the forest that we will never forget!

This walk takes you away from the Monastery and along the paths that surround it. Here ancient Oaks and Alder Trees line the paths, occasionally disturbed by wild red deer and shaggy black haired goats! There are hidden Holy Wells and “Rag Trees” and here the Goddess can be seen in the landscape, if you know how and where to look!

This walk focuses not on the medieval monks and saints that once called this place home, instead, we focus on the stories they recorded on vellum sheets.

Stories of warrior queens, powerful Goddesses, and a world almost forgotten.

“Excellent and enjoyable walk incorporating Irish history, foraging and a general knowledge about the Courtown woodlands. Highly recommend it. I’ve often walked in the woods but I will look at them in a new light going forward. Lorraine is passionate about conserving the woodlands and is a great storyteller.”
