Lorraine O’Dwyer of Gallivanting.ie is the official Food Tour Guide for Taste Wexford – a food tourism initiative and sub-brand of Visit Wexford.
This important food tour programme is designed to strengthen, protect and champion the growers, farmers, beekeepers, food and craft producers, chefs and cooks, grocers, butchers, bakers, drinks merchants, Storytellers, tour guides and hospitality providers of the region. It’s about striving to bring people together through quality culinary experiences.
Guided by its founding principles and the Taste Wexford Charter, all members aspire to give locals, visitors and tourists a memorable ‘sense of place’ through their food and drink offerings, their stories and of course, their hospitality.

Taste Wexford strives to support a circular economy, and everything its members do is designed to strengthen, protect and champion the vibrant food and drink community in Wexford and beyond.
Aligned with Tourism
The brand is aligned with various international tourism initiatives in Ireland, including the Department of Agriculture, Food and Marine agri-food strategy – as well as Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland’s international Taste the Island celebrations.
Lorraine’s Role
In her role as Food Tour Guide for Taste Wexford, Lorraine regularly runs Irish food and farm tours throughout the summer months – showcasing the best Wexford has to offer!
This year it is the Grass Roots Tour – comprising three fabulous farms run by three fabulous women! Gallivanting can also curate and deliver the perfect food and farm tour for your group or tour.
